The Government of Rajasthan, Finance (Budget) Department, has issued a notification dated August 24, 2026, declaring the municipal election polling dates of September 9, 2026 (Wednesday) and September 11, 2026 (Friday) as public holidays in the concerned election areas.
The Rajasthan State Election Commission has scheduled the general elections for 309 urban local bodies in two phases, with the attached schedule specifying the municipalities/nagar palikas/nagar parishads/nagar nigams covered in each phase. The schedule covers 5,550 wards in the first phase and 4,695 wards in the second phase.
